THE HISTORY OF ARDSLEY LITTLE LEAGUE

Ardsley Little League was founded in 1955 by Bill Fernandez with an initial group of 250 local boys.  Nearly 70 years later, the League has become a cornerstone of the Ardsley Community providing a system to develop sports skills and great sportsmanship.

Today we support divisions for Boys Baseball, Girls Softball, Tee-Ball, Challenger as part of the national Little League organization in District 20.

Ardsley Historical Society and Ardsley Little League

Ardsley Historical Society
The Ardsley Historical Society was founded in February of 1982.

The Society's purpose is to bring together those people interested in history, especially the history of Ardsley.  In doing so, they promote a better appreciation of our American heritage. The Society's major function will be to discover and collect any material which help establish or illustrate the history of our area and to provide for its preservation and accessibility .

The Society is not only a sponsor of Ardsley Little League, but also a documentarian of our own history.

In the Fall of 2022, the Society published a brief history of our Ardsley Little League, in their Beacon newsletter,  chronicling the early days our League and our evolution into the organization we are today.

We encourage you to read this great article below, visit the Ardsley Historical Society on their webpage or on Facebook, become a member, and donate to this great organization.
